A new bingo hall is being opened in Texas to help gather funds for children’s charities. The new hall will be funded and ran by five charities working in the local area, and is planned to open on the 25th August. The five charity’s involved are, Elks Lodge #2659, the Georgetown Livestock Booster Club, the Round Rock Optimist Club, St. Mary’s School Parent-Teacher Club, and the Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center.

Jerris Jones, director of the Children’s advocacy said, “We looked at our funding base and felt this would offer us an opportunity to diversify our funding, so we don’t rely on one entity or one grant.”"Will our donations potentially be down next year? Sure they will, when people are paying four dollars a gallon for gasoline,” said Jones.

The bingo hall will not benefit players but instead help the various underprivileged children in the local area.
